One of my favorite childhood memories is: going on hikes with my dad to look for “nature stuff.” I grew up in an old farmhouse on 28 acres and the two of us would either walk or drive our jeep to the top of the hill behind our house and explore in the woods. On one of these nature adventures, I found a squirrel skull and my dad let me take it home to show my mom. Let’s just say she was less than pleased with my dad… but I was ecstatic.
I love teaching yoga: for the same reason I love practicing! Every lesson you learn on the mat reaches far beyond the walls of the yoga studio. This like-minded community paints a canvas for a more conscious and loving world. I love that I get to hold space for mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical healing and growth.
A life lesson I’ve learned from yoga practice is: Self-inquiry. I’ve come to realize that it’s (more than) okay to be unapologetically me. Each of us has a deeply and beautifully unique journey - it would be foolish to compare.
Three words that describe my teaching style: authentic, fun, ever-evolving.
When I’m not teaching yoga you’ll find me: working at Breathe Victor! And on the off chance that I am not working (or practicing), I’m usually out getting coffee, going for walks, making matcha and hanging with my plants, or reading books on nutrition and wellness.
Three people who inspire me are: I am inspired by so much. Not necessarily people, but actions of people. It’s all the beautiful little nuances that make up moments. Eye contact, smiles, seeing people be themselves and react to the world around them in an authentic and childlike way, seeing people open their hearts and minds to new love and ideas. The sunshine through a coffee shop window, seeing an old couple holding hands, the way the trees breath as the wind moves through them… I could go on and on
One of my favorite quotes is: “And remember, love is not some entity that exists outside of you; you yourself are love” xo, me
The beginning of a beautiful friendship!
